The Hunter X Hunter watch order is what you need to watch your favourite show. The way the main characters meet is different between the two versions. The 1999 version has more perspectives than the newer one. The newer version is the one that is most true to the Manga. It is a complete remake of the original anime adaptation that started from
Hunter x Hunter 1999 vs 2011 I think it's fair to say that a huge part of the HxH fanbase came to know this series because of the 2011 Anime adaptation by Madhouse (like myself). There is also the 1999 version which goes up to the end of the Greed Island arc. My question is,how does the community feel about the 1999 version?
The following is a list of episodes from the TV anime adaptation of the manga series Hunter × Hunter. The adaptation was produced by Nippon Animation and first aired on Fuji Television for 62 episodes from October 16, 1999, to March 31, 2001. The TV series is based only on the first 11 volumes of the manga, with subsequent story arcs produced as DVD OVA series. The series is directed by

Same Mangaka! 2011 adapts 3 more arcs than 1999, so it covers more of the source material. Also, the tone of 1999 is darker compared to 2011 more light hearted tone. The tone of 1999 is darker than that of 2011. And by that I mean the color palette, the drawing, the character design, etc.
. This presentation far out shines the (2011) version of this scene in my opinion. In conclusion the (1999) take on the Hunter exam was an interesting departure to watch. I look forward to watching more of Hunter X Hunter (1999), seeing how the series has it's own takes. My next overview will be on the Zoldyck arc.
I’m gonna say OG FMA because Hunter x Hunter 1999 more or less adapted the same story and is fairly light hearted in plot and characters in comparison the twists, characters, and themes that the OG FMA had. Hunter x Hunter at the end of the day is still a shonen while this FMA actually felt like a seinen with its psychological tragic aspects.
Hunter x Hunter manga has been adapted in 1999 anime series with the same name, followed by an OVA series - Hunter x Hunter: Greed Island, and also some other ova series. Another adaption started on 2011, based more on the manga: Hunter x Hunter (2011), followed by two movies: Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge & Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission
Yes the 2011 version hasn't been announced for license or been dubbed. 1999 was dubbed by funimation and aired on their channel (theres prolly even a stream on their site). I think it may have been overshadowed by dragonball and 2011 seems to be doing well. Theres a chance of it being picked up by funimation IMO.
There’s enough differences between it and the 2009 Version to make it worth watching. The same could technically be said about the 1999 Version compared to the 2011 Version, however if I could compare it to anything, it would be like comparing the original Universal Version of Dracula to the Spanish Version.
is hunter x hunter 1999 and 2011 the same
